Is there bug repellent that is safe for baby?

spray the clothing the child is going to be wearing before you put him in it...don't forget the areas around the collar and sleeves.

also if you are spraying on the go.. just cover his face and hands with a blanket or cloth..

use that skin-so-soft brand. if a little does get on baby, its safer than the other brands.. less abrasive to little one's skin.

good luck

There is no bug repellent or sunscreen safe for a baby under 6 months. They can absorb the effective chemical into their bloodstream. Buy mosquito netting or only go out at times when the mosquito population is at its lowest in the day. I also found that if outside, a portable fan helps to lower mosquitoes trying to bug you.Is there bug repellent that is safe for baby?
i ask my doctor this and all of them said that there was no real over the counter bug repellent suitable for children under the age of two- my sopn is 16 months and we've looked up some natural things to use which would be much healthier. they also said try to stay away from area that might be breeding grounds for misquitos
My dad takes my 4 month old son outside all the time and he was getting bit by bugs. We read that if you have a few scented dryer sheets in your pockets that the smell repels mosquitoes. He puts on tucked into his pants or diaper and it has helped a ton.

One of the most effective ways to protect against mosquito bites is by using insect repellent with DEET. However, these products should be used with caution.

See.

Actually yes, there are bug repellents made for baby. Just make sure you read the bottle it will say right on it if it's safe!
