What's a good tick repellent? One to put on my dog and another to spread around the house?

I prefer something non poisonous,,maybe a herb or something naturalWhat's a good tick repellent? One to put on my dog and another to spread around the house?
Put Tea Tree Oil on your dog. I have even used this on my son when we are going to be outside. It repels many biting insects and is not poisonous to dogs.

If your dog already has a tick--dip a q-tip in the oil, spread it on the tick and wait a few minutes. The tick dies and you can remove it without removing a piece of your dog. What's a good tick repellent? One to put on my dog and another to spread around the house?
No.

Go to your vet and get some Frontline. It will take care of both the dog AND the house.
An economical and excellent tick repellent is the Preventic Collar. Your vet may sell this or try Revival pet products (on line). The collar lasts for 3 months and should retail between $12 - 20. Remember it is only effective for ticks. Frontline Plus applied between the shoulders is very effective (and also kills fleas). It is more expensive and must be applied monthly.
