The Front Line Flea and tick repellent that you put down your dogs back.?

I just put it on my dog like 15 minutes ago or so. The poor guy has fleas really bad:( I am wondering how long it will take before the fleas die from it?? How long will it be before he quits being bit/itching??The Front Line Flea and tick repellent that you put down your dogs back.?
Generally 24 hrs %26amp; dog will scratch at their current bites he has for a few more days at least. Just using that will not stop all the fleas in your home %26amp; yard %26amp; must be treated also. The Front Line Flea and tick repellent that you put down your dogs back.?
I use to use FrontLine with no success, what has helped me though is a product called Comfortis, its a RX from the vet and expensive....but works like a charm. I have 4 dogs, all of which had fleas and within 30mins I was vaccuming up the dead fleas that were on the floor. It works for a full month. The only thing it does not have is a tick repellent, but if your doing intestial worm medication (Sentinel) that does all fleas, ticks, and worms of all sorts.

Flea repellent alone will not get rid of fleas. If they are on your dog, they are in your house and yard. This is what you need to do to get rid of the infestation.

I have just cured a flea infestation and this is what I did.

First, give your animals a good flea bath. Then treat them with a good flea repellent such as Frontline,or Revolution. Treat your house with a good quality of flea bombs. Make sure to take up pet dishes, water, aquariums, etc, or anything that could be contaminated.

Treat your yard. This is very important. I went to Home Depot and got flea granuels to spread in the yard. The employee that helped me told me not to get the spray because it sits on the grass and doesn't get into the soil very well. The next day I bombed my house with the flea bombs again just to make sure I got them all. I got rid of my flea infestation, but all of these things need to be done the same time, or at least as quickly as you can get them done. Do not do one thing today, and wait until tomorrow to spray the yard. It all has to be done about the same time. Good luck

I use Vectra (through my vet).... and you are supposed to do it monthly, not on as needed basis.

Fleas live in the house (carpet, couch, curtains)...so once the Frontline stops working, unless you get another one, they will jump right back on your dog. You need to get rid of the fleas in your house.
