Is Boundary cat repellent safe for my cat?

We are trying to teach my new kitten to stay away from certain rooms and places in our apartment. We have purchased ';Boundary Indoor / Outdoor cat repellent'; to help us with this. On the back, though, it says ';Hazard to Humans and Domestic Animals';. The active ingredients are


Methyl nonyl ketone and Related compounds


Is this product safe for my cat?Is Boundary cat repellent safe for my cat?
From what I understand of the product, it can cause really bad eye irratation and that is not a good way to teach an animal anything. If anything, it could make it fearful. I would look for some alternative ideas....and you could also ask your vet about the product and whether or not it can cause harm to your kitty.Is Boundary cat repellent safe for my cat?
personally I don't like chemical repellents why expose you pet to thing like that , thats how I feel. its like bitter apple for dogs chewing it is alcohol based so i wouldn't use it. Hope this helps. good luck with you kitty...
